I have a rotation- I always use one for my hair and one for my body, SO i use one for my body then the next day I use that one on my hair the and put the one I used on my hair the day before in the wash. so really I use it twice before it gets washed. since i am totally clean when i leave the shower and my towel is left to hang and dry and not get mildew i wash the towel after every third shower. why waste the water and the laundry soap. i have kids that re-use their towels as well and then toss them on the floor. ew

yes i am clean when i get out the shower, but you rub off any dead skin cells, inevitable they end up on the towel

If I use it to wipe down the floor or bathtub/shower after I get out, I toss it in the hamper. If I'm just drying myself off and hanging it, it could go for a few days. Basically, if it starts to stink, get a new towel!

wow but after bathing your body is clean right? so the towel is basically clean because your only using it to dry your clean.. body...Right...

well, if ur trying to save energy then I commend u in ur efforts. But, as far as re-using and re-using and re-using the same old towel before washing??? I personally only use my towels once before washing. however, I do think that if u r hanging up the towel to dry it would be acceptable to use twice, maybe; maybe three. Just try not to over do it!! Also another question to be asked is: is it just u using the same towel over and over, or r u and someone else using the same towels. I figure when it can stand on its edge upright then its time to use the other side. Usually change the towel once a year. Maybe twice around Christmas or when I use it to wipe up unsightly stains.

Think about the dead skin cells that you rub off onto the towel when you are drying off...the aim is to dry off to be clean-why on earth would you put a towel that has dead skin cells on a clean body? In addition to using a towel I also dry off with a fan to evaporate any additional moisture on my skin. Maybe I'm a clean freak but I buy the laundry detergent and pay for the electricity. This is one thing that I do not skimp on. If you are worried about being ';green'; unplug the TV, PC, or something else for the entire time you are doing the laundry.
You should be more environmentally-conscious. Think about how you pollute nature around you by washing your bath towel every time. You put detergent in the water, you burn electricity that was created by burning coal and releasing CO2 in the air, which accelerates the greenhouse effect. Because of your ';clean-freak'; princesses attitude our grandchildren will have to wear gas masks all their lives.
