What is the diffrence between a regular baby bath towel adn a terry baby bath towel?

i guess what im asking is what is terry? is it the type of fabric or the way the same fabric is put together, like a fluffy towel? What is the diffrence between a regular baby bath towel adn a terry baby bath towel?
Most bath towels are made of terry cloth, it's the kind of cotton that is used that makes them more, or less absorbant. (Also how you launder them effects it too, don't use fabric softener, it makes your towels less absorbant.)

I would use regular bath towels (not baby at all) simply because baby bath towels are used for such a short time and aren't really that practical. What is the diffrence between a regular baby bath towel adn a terry baby bath towel?
terry is softer. but a regular one is just fine.
I believe Terry Toweling is a brand name, like Hoover or Sellotape. I don't think there is any difference.
Terry is the material. It's the nappy texture like any bath towel. I'm not aware of any baby or regular bath towel that is not made of terry. There are diferent qualities of terry, some are softer, thicker and some are all cotton but I think they are all terry cloth.
Terry towelling is softer and I think it absorbs more cos you can use it as a nappy
