I bought some new bath towels about a month ago, 3 were a tan color and 3 were black. The tan towels took a couple times to wash/dry to get the lint totally off, so when I dried off, it wasn't coming off on my skin. Well the black towels are still shedding lint like crazy! It's annoying to get clean and then have black lint on my body until I rub it all off. Is there an easy solution to this problem? Or will it just take time for it to stop. Let me know!New black bath towels are linty?
The lint in the towels will continue for a while. You can wash them numerous and that could have an effect on it. But usually that wont do anything, it could loosen the fibers and the towel could fall apart on you. However, linting is a sign of a good towel, the more the lint, the more the capacity of absorbency. Even some of the nicest towels like egyptian cotton require 10+ washes. The excess washing can both remove lint and its absorbant nature too. To prevent a towel from losing its absorbancy, rinse it in a small amount of white vinegar, and hang it rather than tumble dry, because it could transfer lint.New black bath towels are linty?
use different towels besides the black ones or buy non lint ones to replace them if you don't have enough. i know what you mean, we have a little hand towel that's black %26amp; sheds. %26amp; my mom prefers to use that towel for our bathroom upstairs cuz she says it mathces it but i'd just replace it with another one that's not sheddy cuz that's the only hand towel we have that sheds %26amp; the only black one too

just give it some time... when there in the store, their fluff so they will sell. i think that it will go away in about a few days. i had the same problem
2
put them in the washer and hang them up to dry... the dryer loosens the fabric which allows lint to fall off.
gotta keep washing it. try brushing it after you wash it. it'll get there, but enjoy the plushness of it while its still new!
A really hot wash, preferably a boil wash, followed by a hot tumble dry. I had the same problem, works a treat!!
Wash it with extra softener by itself
or with other dark colors(:

It might be the quality of towel. In going for the elegant, fine towels,...you're creating your own dilema as cheap cotton towels don't do that.
Black lint all over your body. Mmmm, sexy. ;)
Buy better quality towels next time. The cheap ones will do that.
White is best, lint hardly shows.
OMG the same thing happend to me and there new we just bought new ones because i got black lint all over me =/

Maybe you need to use a lint roller trap to really get the lint off. When they are new it is terrible and it goes everywhere unless it is removed. The hard way is the best and use the lint roller trap or masking tape.. Your black towels will also lose that deep black color so maybe consider using the woolite just for black on them. They are beautiful in color schemes in the bathroom but a bit extra work to keep them pretty. Good Luck.
