Laundry advice? How do you wash your bath towels and wash cloths?

My fiance' washes the whites, which are our towels. And he washes our wash cloths with them as well (with tide), and he puts clorox on them bc he says it kills bacteria or whatever. But the thing I hate is how he leaves like 10-15 wash cloths in the tub until he's ready to do a load. So it's annoying taking a shower every day and stepping on wet wash cloths. I don't know why he does this. Your supposed to put them in the hamper right? And then wash them when your good and ready to? Ok so maybe I want to wash the whites cuz I don't know if his method is right. So my question is how do you wash whites.. and also, in the future when I buy colored bath towels, how would I wash those? Be as detailed as possible. I need to know exactly what to do. Well, first he will need to stop leaving the wet wash clothes in the bath. They become moldy and can smell. I have a friend who immediately hangs her wash clothes on a towel rack to dry. I would not put them in the hamper with the other clothes because they may not dry properly and also cause your clothes to smell like mold. I also have another friend that keeps a special container for wash clothes in her bathroom and she that it works wonderfully, however I have not tried this. As far as washing my white towels I do so with detergent and bleach. I never use fabric softener in my towels because I feel that this affects the absorbency. Color towels I do the same way without the bleach. On occasion I will use one cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle for my towels. Hope I could be of help.Laundry advice? Wet clothes equal smell clothes. Don't let your man do the laundry anymore.





Wash whites in hot water with laundry detergent that contains color safe bleach.





Wash colors in cold water with more expensive brand laundry detergent helps prevent fading. I have bought one to many brands from 1 to 9.99. I can say one that cost more I end up with colors not fading.
You shouldn't leave washcloths in the shower. If you hang them on the edge of the tub they will dry. Wet washcloths smell and can get mouldy. I wash white towels in hot with a cup of bleach added.
I wash the towels in hot water. I use a scoop full of powdered oxi clean and a capful of laundry detergent.
